MINI GUIDE
PARTS WORK
Practice shifting from judgment to curiosity
With Parts Work, we realize that there are different "parts" of us that make up our entire personality, sometimes called subpersonalities.
Multiple personality disorder is the extreme end of the spectrum but even mentally stable and healthy individuals can have many different subpersonalities. These subpersonalities can have their own agendas, preferences, needs, and desires.

Inner child work, for example, has become more well-known. And includes exercises that help us get in touch with the part of us that is often the most playful, afraid, vulnerable, and innocent.

Learning how to recognize, understand, and accept the parts of ourselves that we have rejected or exiled (for fear of not being accepted by others) can teach us the deeply transformational skill of self -love.
This skill can then be applied to everyone we encounter, and our view of the world. Teaching us the benefit of seeing everything as pieces of a whole.

Human consciousness is complex. Doing Parts Work and therapy modalities like Internal Family Systems with a licensed therapist who has experience with parts work can be very helpful.
